this $9 "Miracle" may be just what your hair needs?
Been using this for 4 years & keep repurchasing
As a beauty + lifestyle creator, I love talking about new products. Brands are launching products quicker than ever before and it feels like a rat race to keep up with what’s new & trending. Phew, it’s exhausting.
Wanna know what we don’t do more of? We don’t talk about the old things. Tried & true favorites. The cozy sweatshirts of beauty. Here is my series: Work Wife Approved ✅ where I share products that I’ve tried for over a year and purchased or repurchased myself (if the initial experience was gifted).
I’m excited about this — are you?
THIS WEEK’S HIGHS
We’ve finally turned a corner with school! Less tears, more smiles - it’s kinda the goal here and seeing glimmers makes me feel like we’re on the right track!
Also, I somehow became the room mom at this school that is still very new to us!? So… stay tuned for how I figure out how to do a job I’ve only seen popular girls from high school turn mean girl moms do on TV.
THIS WEEK’S LOWS
I think I realized that I made the wrong choice in choosing a new platform for this newsletter and I’ll be making the move to substack in a few weeks. I wish I could say nothing will change for you and you’ll never know the difference, and you aren’t supposed to!
…but I’ll probably screw something up in the transition so if you get a duplicate email or something one day just go for it. I’m a one woman show here.

📚I started listening to “Brag Better” by Meredith Fineman and it’s been really interesting. I realize I do a lot of creating and not enough repurposing or “showing my work” — effort is attractive and when you’re in a field that is literally supposed to look easy, I feel like I need to work on advocating for my work in a way that’s appreciated by my readers.
🍴I’ve talked about them before, but I love CutDaCarb bread. I don’t have a promo code or anything and I pay full price, but its the best “bread” alternative that actually tastes great and is super versatile.
🎲 I’m rewatching Suits right now and Meghan Markle is so cute. She was gorgeous in her 20s and now in her 30s. I love seeing women age beautifully!
🛍️ The CC cream from IT Cosmetics finally came out in a matte version and my heart is so happy. It’s medium coverage and great for a date night or girl’s brunch.
🤌 I use this shampoo once a week after oiling my hair, and it’s the only thing guaranteed to get the oil out.
🍦 I tried the Tru berries from Whole Foods (I think they are at Target too) they are little frozen chocolate covered strawberries and they were delicious! My new dessert favorite. You only need 1-2!
🚿 wonder water for your hair, is it the miracle it’s promised to be?
You’ve probably heard of micellar water for your face, but what about for your hair?
Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a in shower hair treatment that took less than 10 seconds to work, got you to skip conditioning, and made promises that your hair would look silkier, shinier, and healthier looking?
Wouldn't it be cool if it was less than $10?
Phoebe gets it.
I first got this in a PR box a few months ago and wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. The drugstore product promises silkier, smoother, and shinier hair with just one 8 second use. I put it to the test the entire month of June in 2020 (what else was I going to do?) and turns out, I loved it!
P.S. I love being able to share my goodies with you all in the weekly giveaway. You can find the secret password at the bottom of the email, but there's no rush - enjoy the email. I've worked hard on it :)
Here’s how it works: you avoid the scalp and just apply this directly to the lengths of your hair. As soon as you apply the product you feel your scalp being to “heat up” and you quickly rinse your hair in just eight seconds.
There’s this immediate fear that consumes you when you feel your hair literally HEAT up in the shower after applying this, and then you remember that 8 seconds are up and it’s time to rinse. It happens so quickly, and don’t worry the heat is normal! It kinda feels like this in shower hot oil treatment.
Here’s the science behind it: Moisturizing agents and amino acid target damaged areas of hair, forming thin layers called lamellas to smooth hair's surface with no weigh-down
I find it particularly beneficial on days where my hair isn’t so manageable, like after a day at the beach or when my hair has lots of tangles in it. They say to use it 2-3x a week at the most, I reach for it about once a month which is about once every 4 washes for me. (FYI conditioner is optional afterwards)
I wish I could better explain how it makes your hair look, but the truth is that it just feels healthier instantly. I highly recommend getting your hands on this one, it's an affordable price point so it’s worth the price to check it out.
This week's giveaway will be a bundle hundreds of dollars of makeup and beauty products. In order to enter, you need to BOTH of the two things.
